My favorite places in my hometown are Rasfannu and the Sinamale Bridge. These are my favorite places in Malรฉ city.
Even though I am not originally from Malรฉ, I have been living here for more than 30 years. Malรฉ is the capital city of the Maldives.

I usually visit Rasfannu almost every evening. I feel the calm breeze, and I can see the beautiful, clear blue lagoons and children playing happily on the beach. Rasfannu is a pleasant sight to see every evening. Most of the time, I go there with my husband. Many people sit there, chatting, and some enjoy tea and snacks. Itโ€™s a place most Maldivians enjoy in the evening.

In the mornings and afternoons, the place is usually quiet, but in the evenings people gather to relax, have a chat, snack, and let their children play and run around. Some children play with sand, and every evening there are groups of ladies swimming and doing exercises in the sea.

I can also see the construction of the Thilamalรฉ Bridge going on in that area. There is a small cafรฉ at the Rasfannu beach, but sometimes it feels too crowded. I prefer some privacy to sit with my husband, feel the cool sea breeze, and watch the vast blue lagoons and ocean. We often talk about religion, social problems, politics, and many issues in the Maldives.

Another place I love is the Sinamale Bridge. I go there at least three times a week. I enjoy walking or jogging along the pathway, meditating, doing deep breathing, and watching the ocean and the sky. Even though there is traffic noise, the view of nature on the other side is perfect. The sea breeze and the vast blue sky make it a very tranquil place.

After a walk or jog, I feel refreshed. I have no stress or worries. It is the best remedy for me at the end of a busy day.
