I was inspired to write this after watching a video by Dr. Rangan Chatterjee.
We often get hurt by others as we encounter a wide range of personalities every day. Sometimes, it becomes a vicious cycleโwhen a husband is treated badly by his managers or friends, he may unknowingly pass that anger on to his innocent wife, making her miserable.
According to Dr. Rangan Chatterjee, when we hold on to resentment and anger, it harms both our mental and physical health. Somehow, we must learn to forgive the person who made our life difficult.
He further explained that to truly forgive, we must understand that if we were that personโwith their upbringing and life experiencesโwe might have acted the same way.
Personally, when I need to forgive, I pray for those who hurt me and keep a gentle distance to protect my mental well-being. Sometimes, this helps me heal.
Different people use different techniques to forgive, and though we might have heard these ideas before, reminders like this are always helpfulโespecially when our hearts need them most.
