A person who inspired me the most when I was young was my grandmother. She was a very religious person who devoted herself to Allah and spent most of her time praying and reciting the Qur’an. Her way of life left a deep mark on my heart, and throughout my life, I have seen her as a role model. I try my best to follow her values, her ethics, and her beliefs. I would say she is the person who inspired me to become a good person, both for my family and for society.
My grandmother was a very quiet person. She rarely talked to anyone unnecessarily, and she used to teach Qur’an to young children every day. She spent almost her entire day in worship and teaching. She hardly had time to visit the neighbours or gossip. She lived a very simple and pure life.
She passed away when I was just ten years old. It was a very difficult time for me. Her death was a shock, and I still remember that day clearly. I can still hear her last words—she was reciting the Shahada continuously until her final moments. The whole neighbourhood praised her for her piety, her generosity, and her kindness. She taught Qur’an to all the children for free. Sometimes, people would give her fish or food inreturn, but she never charged a fee.
Today, I have also become a teacher, even though I don’t teach Qur’an. I am devoted to teaching, and I truly love children. I try my best to teach sincerely, and I am always trying to improve myself. It’s really fascinating to teach young children, and I believe it is a good service to my country and to our society.
