On this holiday, I feel truly at peace. Staying at home gives me a deep sense of comfort: I can sleep whenever my body needs rest, recite Qur’an when my heart seeks calm, go to the market freely, and cook fresh, healthy meals. What a blessing it is, Alhamdulillah. Every holiday, a part of me wishes I could stay home forever as a housewife.

But I remind myself of the responsibilities Allah has entrusted to me. I cannot resign right now because I want to support my niece with her tuition fees. Helping her might bring me reward from Allah in this world or the next, InshaAllah. Every act done for others is not lost.

My husband worries that staying home alone, without children around me, might trigger another relapse. He fears what happened in the past. And I understand — there are pros and cons in every decision we make.
If I continue working, I can save for old age.
If I stay home, I may find peace, but I might risk isolation.

Still, despite the stress and occasional overwhelm, there is a joy that only teaching gives me. The classroom brings me life. Being surrounded by children fills my heart. Their smiles, questions, challenges, and innocence remind me why I continue. I feel blessed to have a role that lets me nurture young minds.

Maybe this is where I am meant to be for now — a place Allah has written for me with His wisdom.

Alhamdulillah for every blessing, every challenge, and every day spent trying to do my best.

“And whoever puts their trust in Allah – He is sufficient for them.”
— Qur’an 65:3
